Ricky Rubio had a dazzling 14 assists to go with his 13 points as the Minnesota Timberwolves continued the Wizards' misery.
Washington fell to 0-8 on the season with their fourth loss at home falling 93-72. Kevin Love had a game high 20 points and also pulled down 16 rebounds in 41 minutes of work as the Timberwolves improved to 3-5, but remain anchored to the foot of the Northwest division.
The Wizards host the Toronto Raptors on Tuesday before traveling to Chicago the following day.
The Orlando Magic received 43 points from their bench on Sunday to compensate for an off-night for Dwight Howard as they beat the Sacramento Kings 104-97.
Howard scored only five points with four rebounds after early foul trouble limited the superstar to 20 minutes. Glen Davis responded with 20 points off the bench on 8-of-13 shooting and Jason Richardson's team-high 22 gave the Magic their second away victory of the season.
Orlando are 7501.00 to win this year's NBA Championship while Toronto can be backed at 7501.00 and the Wizards at 7501.00.
