Lakers fall to Pacers

Roy Hibbert had 18 points to lead the Indiana Pacers to a surprise 98-96 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers.
Hibbert was one of six Indiana players in double figures as all five starters contributed in a well rounded attack.
Kobe Bryant had 33 for LA, but Pau Gasol struggled on the evening hitting just 4-of-12 for eight points.
The veteran Spaniard did however hand out 10 assists and grab eight rebounds to help keep the Lakers close, but ultimately to no avail as LA's record at home fell to 9-2 and 10-8 overall.
Earlier in the day at the Staples Center the Clippers had little trouble with the visiting Toronto Raptors running out to a 103-91 triumph.
Still without the injured Chris Paul the Clips got sterling work from Randy Foye in replacement and Mo Williams came off the bench for a game-high 26 points as the team rebounded from the surprise loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday.
The Clippers and the Lakers face off on Wednesday in the next chapter of their increasingly interesting cross-town battle.
The Heat are 3.40 to win the NBA Championship this year while the Lakers can be backed at 7501.00, the Mavericks at 7501.00 and the Rockets at 7501.00.
