Nishikori shocks Tsonga

Japanese star Kei Nishikori caused a major shock at the Australian Open with a well-deserved victory over the much-fancied Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.
Jo-Wilfried Tsonga crashed out of the Australian Open.It was a thrilling contest between the two players which evolved into a five-set epic at Melbourne Park.
In an even encounter which could easily have been won by either player, it was Nishikori who eventually came out on top, winning the clash 2-6 6-2 6-1 3-6 6-3.
The 22-year-old is the first Japanese man to reach the quarter-finals of the Australian Open since the 1930's and the talented youngster is delighted with the result, saying: "I was just playing one point at a time.
"It was not easy conditions today, Jo-Wilfried was playing well and I was just trying my best. Hopefully it's big news in Japan."
Nishikori now faces the task of taking on the world number four Andy Murray in the quarter-finals on Wednesday, following the Scot's victory over Mikhail Kukushkin.
