South Sydney's star player Greg Inglis picked up an ankle injury in Saturday's NRL All Stars match that was played on the Gold Coast.

It is frustrating. It's probably the first pre-season I've had for a while.

The injury means that the Rabbitohs giant will not be ready for the start of the upcoming 2012 NRL season.
He suffered the injury while scoring a try for the Indigenous All Stars in their 36-28 defeat at the hands of the NRL All Stars.
The Rabbitohs are 13.00 to win the 2012 NRL Grand Final. Manly Sea Eagles can be backed at odds of 5.50.
Earlier today, Inglis' injured ankle was thoroughly examined and scanned, after which his medical team informed him that his rehabilitation phase will take four to six weeks weeks.

The 25-year-old Test and State of Origin centre will be given the official results of the scans early next week but early diagnosis suggests that there is almost no chance that he will be ready for the Rabbitohs' Sydney city derby against the Roosters on March 5.
Inglis had injured the same ankle last year as well and that problem had troubled him for the entire 2011 NRL season.
Speaking in a quick word with Channel 9, Inglis said: "It is frustrating. It's probably the first pre-season I've had for a while. (After scoring the try) I realised that something serious had happened. It looked like a sniper just hit me from the grandstand."
