Wade confident about his game

New Australia wicketkeeper Matthew Wade has said that he is currently at the top of his game, a statement which could very well be a warning to Brad Haddin.

I just feel like my game's at a level where I can definitely compete at the highest level.

Wade made his T20 debut for Australia on Wednesday against India by playing a brilliant innings of 72 runs from just 43 balls. He provided a solid foundation for his side, which made his side's 31-run victory possible over the 50-over world champions.
The 24-year old Victorian is now set to play in the second T20 as well as the opening three ODI matches of the Commonwealth Bank Series.
National Selector John Inverarity and coach Mickey Arthur have told the media multiple times that Haddin is being rested, but the veteran gloveman himself doubts that truth of that stance.
Wade's impressive start to his international career will convince Haddin even more that his time at the highest level is effectively up.
In a recent interview Wade said: "Obviously I'm really happy I got the opportunity to open the batting, (coach) Mickey (Arthur) spoke to me yesterday, so obviously I was just happy to contribute and hopefully we can continue our form into Melbourne.
"I think I've just got a lot more confidence in my game, I just feel like my game's at a level where I can definitely compete at the highest level," he added.
Wade and Australia are 1.53 to win the second game in Melbourne on Friday and seal a 2-0 series victory, with India 2.50 to finally win a game Down Under after a 4-0 whitewash in the Test series.
